A perfect few days away was had by both of us. The location is perfect. The accommodation was perfect. We occupied a 2 bedroom apartment, No 53. A ground floor apartment most suitable for the wife who has mobility issues. Couldn't fault it. Spacious, clean, and comfortable. Sleeping arrangements were a large double bed, 2 single beds, and a sofa bed in the open plan living room. It is a great size for a large group. Loved the shower room, another generous sized room. We didn't take advantage of the swimming pool or the restaurant, but both looked appealing. Booking definitely recommended for the restaurant, in advance of your journey. Thurnham Hall, superb building with the added bonus of having history. The receptionist was more than helpful during our booking in. Due to the wife's mobility issues, we were given an apartment on the ground floor as we had originally been given an apartment that required access via stairs. It was a wonderful gesture that made the break even better. It was great that the receptionist went out of his way to find us and give us the good news. So thank you. Will certainly revisit.

Both myself and my partner has the most beautiful two night stay here. The views were amazing, the staff were so attentive and kind. The rooms are stunning and extremely spacious. We had a minor issue with the cooker on the second night but within the hour of letting reception know there was a lovely woman knocking at the door ready to try fix it. Highly recommend visiting the beauty hut for some form of treatment, we had the most relaxing massages with the sweetest woman who recommended a Christmas market near by (really made our weekend, so Thankyou) A huge thankyou to the pianist who stayed later after his set finished to accommodate my partner and I, the most perfect Saturday evening sat in front of the log burning open fire listening to the beautiful music. If you’re looking for something to do outside, we suggest going to reception and picking up a detectives trail … best £9.99 spent! The walk was relatively steady, plenty of places to stop off for lunch or a hot drink. We booked again whilst we were there!

Dan and Georgina on reception were extremely helpful and approachable, going the extra mile to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. The rooms were very clean and well equipped and the pool area was also very clean and surprisingly quiet so that I was able to enjoy a relaxing swim along with an occasional dip into the warm jacuzzi. While I was swimming my daughter was having a massage at the Beauty Retreat, which she really enjoyed. As Claire isn't available every day we took the advice on the website and booked the treatment before our stay. This was our second visit to Thurnham Hall and we are hoping to book again soon.

Rooms were extremely spacious, the apartment had everything we could want or need and the amenities were very well thought out to accommodate a young family for example children’s plates/bowls/ cutlery was available. It was lovely to be in a location where the kids could run around and play and they loved the pool and the playground. Having 2 bathrooms in a 2 bedroom apartment was very convenient and we utilised the bath for the kids and I enjoyed the walk in shower. The beds were very comfortable, and I received a very warm friendly welcome from Dan upon check-in. My only negative was that we couldn’t stay longer as I would have loved to stay a few more nights to really enjoy the facilities.

My family and I had an amazing stay here. Spotlessly clean in all areas. We stayed in apartment 13 and wow it is huge! My children loved the play area which is literally 10 second from the apartment. Swimming was included too and that was great again spotless. The restaurant was so cosy and family friendly, again food delicious. We couldn’t fault a thing. Williamsons park and Lancaster centre etc is about 15mins away. Dan on reception was fantastic- really helpful couldn’t do enough, just genuinely happy. The grounds are breath taking. If you are thinking of booking it is 100% worth it. We will be back.
